Follow Gerry Miller on his walking tour of Cork city. Gerry takes us up to the top of Shandon steeple where we have a panoramic visit of Ireland’s most beautiful city – Cork. Experience the delights of Lenihan’s sweet shop and the multitude of bridges that interconnects the island city of Cork.
Stroll down the main throughfare of Patrick’s street and visit the famous bookshop of Vibes and Scribes. Finally the Old English market is visited where Gerry enjoys his favourite dish of “tripe and drisheen” (pigs guts!!).
In this video, many of the locations that our students visit are explored. Take a trip out to Garnish Island and experience the fantastic wildlife on the journey. Finally the daring presenters take a trip out to Dursey Island on a cable car. Rest assured, we will not take our students to Dursey on a cable car!
On this tour, the spectacular views of West Cork including Bantry (both the Bay and House) are visited. The Killarney National park and Muckross house are also toured. There are vignettes of the “Old English Market” and the famous Jameson distillery. Blarney Castle, the coastal town of Youghal and the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork city are all showcased briefly.
